A Brief Background
HANDMADE NEW ZEALAND NATIVE BIRDS JEWELLERY
I work out of a pure love for art and design and the craft of it. I started training as an artisan goldsmith in my hometown Auckland in 1977, filled with wonder at the remarkable qualities of precious metals and their limitless potential and adaptability for creating beautiful things that are made to last. Now, so many years on, I am still exploring and discovering and learning! I am dedicated to making beautiful, high quality contemporary jewellery for my clients to enjoy. I am continually designing and making new pieces for my own portfolio, and creating one-off custom designs to order for my personal clients. This selection of New Zealand Native Birds jewellery was born out of a love of birds, especially NZ native birds. I have custom-made to order various birds that are not shown here. All the birds can be made in gold of any desired carat or colour to order. The birds are just a tiny selection of my body of work. My contemporary jewellery and art are in the Exhibition Gallery following. If you have any questions, please get in touch - my contact details are below.
Since 1978 my output has comprised three distinct sections.
The New Zealand Native Birds in their various design incarnations.
I have developed and redesigned and expanded the range over the years. The range shown above is essentially a stock range of popular birds. I have made a number of others to order for customers, and not limited to NZ species only. If you want something different, ask me.
One-off contemporary jewellery, small sculpture and art for exhibition and sale here and through galleries.

Individually commissioned work, tailor-made to customers' unique requirements.
In this, I work closely with my customers to create radically distinctive designs that suit them perfectly - their personalities and needs and expectations. And their budgets!
